Cha Cha - The first and easiest of the Latin dances and possibly the most well known, Cha Cha is a face paced upbeat dance, danced to modern club and dance music. This class will introduce members to the first 2-4 basic steps in cha cha! By the end of class, you will be able to recognize the cha cha beat and get out on that dance floor comfortably! If you're looking for a little cha cha in your life, this class is for YOU! Cha Cha will be taught from approximately 9:45 to 10:30.

Ballroom Fridays at Friends is designed to give any interested members the most basic steps to the Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba, Arizona Two-Step (designed for smaller dance floors like at the club), Tango, Cha Cha, Rumba, Salsa, Merengue, and East Coast Swing. While these are not all the dances, these are the dances that you can begin learning while on a beginner's level. Members should keep in mind that ballroom dancing works from muscle memory, which means the more you do it, the easier it becomes. If your goal is to remember what you learn, you should be sure to bring a pen and paper to jot down notes as soon as the class is over then practice at home for a few minutes everyday. Classes are taught in a group setting unless there is low attendance then I will give private lessons to the 2 or 3 couples who are in attendance! If you've thought about taking lessons but aren't sure what to expect or whether you'll truly learn anything, this is a great way to be introduced.
